 BOWLERS

Flyers will be sent home soon for sign ups.

Mrs. Linda Bramble

Hello!  I hope everyone had a great summer.   The first week of school everyone will be getting to know each other and learning what the procedures are during class time.  We will practice lining up and learning how to get into certain formations.  I will also, go over the routine as well as cover the rules and regulations expected during my class.  I would like to welcome the EC children to my program.  The second week will have the EC through second grade begin to demonstrate competency in many movement forms such as walking, running, leaping, hopping, etc.  The third through eighth grades will begin working extensively on volleyball skills.

  MILEAGE CLUB NEWS

We will begin the mileage club the first week in September.  Grades first through eighth can participate everyday during their lunch recess.

It will be the responsibility of each child to take care of their own card each day (take outside & bring back inside).  The cards will be located in the classroom and not outside as before.  If a child loses his or her card more than once in a given month, they will not receive another card until the next month.

The class with the most miles at the end of each month will receive a treat and/or prize.

A student will be chosen to punch the cards for each class.  Integrity is a must in order for this program to work.

P.E. TROPHIES

All classes will have an opportunity to win the trophy each trimester.  i will be selecting those classes that demonstrate good teamwork, attitude's and over-all effort.

SPORTS

Volleyball sign ups are now going on, all fifth through eighth graders are encouraged to come out and join the teams.

The mandatory parent sports meeting has been cancelled until further notice.  This year we will have a parent meeting before each sport.  This will allow greater flexibility for parents to attend and potential players to join the team.

All students wishing to participate in any of the sports at SSCS are required to submit a current physical and participation form prior to joining any practices or playing in any games.   There is also, a $50 dollar sports fee for each sport played.

GO MUSTANGS!
